Monday
Monday AM Bishop Paprocki will share his observations and report on the Baltimore Meeting of Bishops.
Fr Cliff’s conferences will deal with the foundations of the spiritual life as presented to us by the masters, namely the Fathers of the Church. The first conference will discuss the life of prayer according to the thought of St Augustine. Subsequent conferences will discuss what the Fathers have to say about discerning the work of the Holy Spirit, the evil spirit, and our own human spirit. Long before St Ignatias redacted his rules for the discernment of spirits, early Christian writers had set down rules for discernment. These conferences go to the sources of Western and Byzantine spiritual tradition to aid us our own work of discernment, spiritual direction, and deliverance.
